HOW TO APPLY TOPPERS & CAKE STRIPS
We include detailed instructions on how to apply the edible toppers and borders with every order. It's a very quick and easy process that anyone can do.
Here are some tips to make sure your cakes, cupcakes and even cookies look amazing!

TIPS FOR THE MOST PERFECT CAKES AND CUPCAKES.
All edible toppers should be stored in the shipping package for protection on a flat surface away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity. Do not store in the refrigerator or freezer. Please handle with care. Toppers will work nicely on buttercream frosting, royal icing, fondant, gum paste, chocolate and even store bought icing. For best results, apply the same day as your event.
BONUS TIP: If the edible topper or cake strip does not remove easily from the protective backing, which can happen in warmer and more humid locations, place the toppers/cake strips in the freezer for 5-10 minutes to make it easier to detach from the backing.

HOW TO APPLY EDIBLE CUPCAKE & COOKIE TOPPERS
TIPS FOR THE MOST PERFECT CUPCAKES & COOKIES
Add white or light colored frosting to your cupcakes or cookies to create a smooth, flat surface. NOTE: Royal icing is used in the above photo.
Please ensure your hands are clean and dry before handling the toppers. Carefully remove the white protective backing from the edible topper.
Place the topper in the desired position on top of the cupcake or cookie. Gently pat down and smooth the topper from the center outwards.
Keep the dessert at room temperature until your event. The toppers will take a few hours to adhere and blend into the frosting properly.

TIPS FOR THE MOST PERFECT CAKES WITH CAKE BORDERS
For easy application, edible cake borders come as pre-cut strips that measure 2.25" x 9.5" each.
Apply center cake border strip first. Then match the seams on either side and apply these strips.
Add additional cake border strips, if needed. Trim excess with scissors at the back of the cake.
After the cake border strips are applied to the frosted cake, keep the dessert at room temperature away from direct sunlight until your event. The cake border strips will take a few hours for the image to blend into the frosting properly.
